Fishing the TVA Lakes of East Tennessee with faith, grit, and tight lines.
Jack Hall and partner Hoyt Evans took 1st Place at the White Pine Marine Tournament Trail on Cherokee Lake at Grainger County Park — March 28, 2026. The victory immediately drew calls from Carson-Newman University and opened new sponsorship doors.
Jackson Sawyer Hall is an 18-year-old competitive bass angler from Dandridge, Tennessee — the heart of East Tennessee's TVA lake system. He picked up a rod at 12, entered his first major tournament at 15, and hasn't stopped grinding since.
Denied entry to his county high school fishing team for three years as a homeschooler, Jack didn't quit. He earned a roster spot with Alcoa High School's fishing team in 2025 and was named AFT Rookie of the Year alongside partner Harlyn Nelson. On March 28, 2026, he and partner Hoyt Evans won the White Pine Marine Tournament Trail on Cherokee Lake — a victory that immediately drew calls from Carson-Newman University, where Jack carries a 3.9 GPA on the President's List.
What sets Jack apart isn't just the results — it's the story. Faith-driven, hard-working, deeply rooted in the East Tennessee community, he's the kind of young angler sponsors want representing their brand for the long haul.
I just prayed that God would put the fish near my boat, and I'd do the rest.— Jack Hall, after placing at the Big Bass Tour on Douglas Lake, Age 15
"Jack Hall and Harlyn Nelson finished 20th, and it bumped our team up enough to win it. The top team in the state is the one we were all after. We statistically had no way of winning a 3rd State championship — Jack and Harlyn's contribution sealed the deal. I am so excited for their future."
